Our latest Democracy Cafe podcast is with the winners of the inaugural Alexander Phillips Arete Award. We had to reschedule our recording time from our original date of April 20, because they were in lockdown that day after there was a shooting at a nearby high school in Ocala, Florida — preventing them not only from doing the podcast that day, but from being part of the National Student Walkout on the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting.
Listen in as these marvelous young people of indomitable spirit share their wise stores of wisdom about how to ‘deliver us from evil’ and create a world of goodness. (And also be sure to view their winning entry.) In a time and clime when so many older folks betray sociopath tendencies and worse, and the remorseless vindictiveness and misplaced sense of entitlement that go with that, they should give all of us great reason to hope.
