One thing I love about Socrates Cafe is it thrives in communities of all kinds. Our latest group is being inaugurated in Orange, CA, a pretty conservative area. Here’s the email I received:
Hello Mr. Phillips,
I am starting up a club based on the ideas laid out in your book as well as from my own experience with a Socrates Café in Pasadena (https://www.meetup.com/socratescafe-128/).
I love the experience so much that I wanted to start my own in Orange California.
I was hoping I could have permission to use the name Socrates Café since it’s the format that I learned from the Pasadena group.
