Description
This new initiative is a weekly online gathering that integrates new insights of neuroscience, mindfulness, the science of happiness, and Polyvagal Theory, particularly its therapeutic applications in yoga into the Socrates Café method. This program will include mindfulness practices, science-based happiness strategies, and even pieces of the importance of a whole approach including what keeps us alive, that is the food we eat, as well as relevant wisdom from non-Western philosophical traditions—all aimed at enhancing our capacity for empathy and connection.
This initiative is meant to create a safe space where all participants grow together in a weekly gathering on a virtual community setting. Following the same ethos as Socrates Cafe, Cecilia will share her knowledge on themes that she has delved deeply into and studied carefully, will share what has been relevant to her, and will invite you to explore together some of the themes and practices that are dear to her and have helped her to do her inner work as a Socrates Cafe participant (or any type of encounter with others).
All funds go to continue supporting Socrates Cafe efforts to make of ours a more compassionate and loving word by bridging buildings of understanding.
Each month we will touch upon a theme that will be explored deeply week by week. This option only pays for one month.
